President’s Message – 5-14-20

Brothers and Sisters,

The seniority list has been posted and there will be a 30 day window for protesting any disputes. Please see the Association bulletin below. There are some issues going on system wide with the implementation of the new JCBA as to who will be preforming certain jobs. Be assured the Association leadership is working to implement the language that was agreed to in the JCBA. As we work things out in our cities please understand it takes time to implement things. I would like to say thanks to our local Chairman, Steve Walegir- ATL, Mike Vacek- DCA and Tim Shea- MCO for there work getting these things done. I appreciate the work all or Stewards and Officers do also. It’s not an easy job to serve so thank you all. The Covid virus is a danger we all must deal with on a daily basis so i ask that you take all necessary precautions to keep yourself as well as your Brothers and Sisters safe. We will get through this and be stronger for it. Stay strong together.

As required by the recently ratified Association CBAs, American Airlines has posted the updated seniority lists for all classifications. That posting can be found on JetNet at

Association represented employees may protest any omission or error, which they believe affects their seniority, within thirty (30) days of the posting. Timely submissions received on or before Monday June 15, 2020 will be reviewed and a final determination of seniority, adjustment or denial, will be binding on the parties. Keep in mind that all seniority dates prior to September 16, 2016 were subject to an earlier final and binding protest process. All seniority determinations will be recorded and final revised seniority lists will be posted by the Company. Any employee on leave at the time of posting will have a period of thirty (30) days from his/her date of return to service to file a protest.
