Hot News - TWU Tells AMR:
No Contract , Release
Just loaded TWU response to AA Supplement
President's Message Addition: 2-18-2010 Revised 2-24
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
I have just added the latest News Release in both the Hot News and Negotiation Update Links above for the full text. As you have heard in the media. TWU will ask to be immediately released from Mediation if we cannot reach a tentative agreement that our members can vote on next month in March. The committees feel that it has been long enough for American to reach an agreement with the union. It is time for American to come to mediation prepared to negotiate a contract! Our members have scarified enough and it is time to invest in the back bone of this company, THE TWU MEMBERS !We are willing to do what it takes to get an agreement for our members. I have also uploaded some helpful information about the Mediation process under the Negotiation Updates link above. I will be doing station visits at all stations after the March 6-11 mediation dates. I will answer any and all questions that I can.
Addition - I just received the Title V Stores Company Proposal. I have loaded it under the Negotiation Update Link Above. As I receive information I will give it to you here.
Fraternally,
Pete Hogan - President

President's Message: Revised 2-8-10
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Thanks for checking in. I have loaded up the Mediation Update and the Last Company Proposal in the Negotiation Update Link above. As usual the Company did not really answer the Fleet Committees latest proposal but instead drew up another concessionary bullet point proposal and lengthens the contract to four years from date of signing. As you read through it you can see your committees frustration after all the time spent trying to bring back a contract that we can accept. We have rejected the proposal because it does not meet our members expectations and will limit us to barley no raises for four more years and comes with a loss of jobs. Our next mediation date will be March 6-8 at Washington DC. As always, thanks for your patience and I will update the site again as soon as I have more information.
Fraternally,
Pete Hogan – President
